Headed to Atlantic City for New Years!
I’m so pumped! Worked out every day this week in an attempt to lose two pounds I gained. Lost 1…good enough for me :) Hope everyone has an awesome New Years! What are your plans?

101 Ways to be Happy →
73) Set your alarm early on a day you know you get to sleep in. When you wake up you’ll get the pleasure of realizing that you don’t have to get out of bed—then rolling over for some more satisfying zzz’s. Best feeling ever.

12.3 inches so far and still going strong.
50 mph wind gusts. It is crazy. I’ve been trapped inside all day and have enjoyed it. This morning I went to church with the family, then we went to the diner for brunch, it was really nice to spend some time with them. I studied for a decent amount of time today, still trying to get analogies down pat. I also started writing down vocab words and roots, to try to memorize them also. After I...

Going to see the tree at Rockafeller Center today...
It will be cold but it’s our Christmas tradition =) On a side note, last night Dan and I were standing next to this old man (probably in his 70s) at the Rutgers game. One of his friends comes up to him and was like “What are you waiting here for? A taxi? A cab?” (joking around). The man said “No, just a pretty girl, as his wife walked out of the bathroom.” How cute...

Alarm set for 645. Workout clothes out. Going to bed early. Dumbbells in front of the TV. Pretty sure I’m going to do the Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout video because I need some strength workouts. I hope I can pull myself out of my cozy bed in the morning!

If I wrote lyrics for Bruno Mars.
bendoeslife: I really like you. I enjoy hanging out with you and watching movies and stuff. But, come on, a grenade? It’s unreasonable to think I would catch a grenade for you. I mean, hypothetically, if a grenade was thrown our way, I would try to grab you and pull you out of the way, definitely. But seriously… catch it? No. And don’t even get me started about stepping in front of a train....

Finally got to test out my Mizunos! They’re awesome! But I forgot the watch I got from @runstaceyrun :( tomorrow I have to try it out! 2.5 miles in 25 minutes :) 30 min of yoga with my dad which was quite entertaining. He is stiff as a rock so him attempting pigeon pose was hilarious. I had to show him modified positions hehe

Exciting News
Me and another running friend have teamed up with @runnyknows. He will be cyber coaching us! He is creating tailored training plans for us based on our goals, mile-wise and time-wise. I’m really excited! He reached out to me after I asked him what his half marathon training plan was like. It will be really cool to have an actual running coach! His students that he coaches seem to be doing...

some sugar, some chocolate chip, some miscellaneous. Oh and one fudge brownie. STOP BRINGING SWEETS TO WORK. I CAN’T NOT EAT THEM. It’s a good thing I’ve been exercising consistently…oh wait, no I haven’t ran since my 5K on Sat, Dec. 11. Oh well…

I take them in like 4-5 weeks, I need to take them before my Feb 1. deadline. The program said they will accept late scores as long as you show that you have taken them. They told me it is better to really prepare myself and give the results late than rush and not be prepared just to get it in by the deadline. We’ll see how it goes!

Yeah, I get it now…I just don’t know how you can remember all of these roots unless you’ve taken Latin before. I speak spanish fluently, MAYBE that could help me A LITTLE since it has latin roots sorta. I’m currently studying up on different greek and latin roots at work =)

Eat, Pray, Run: Runner's Creed →
eatprayrun: (From a New Balance video circulating on YouTube) This is my run. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My run is my haven, it is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my run is nothing. Without my run, I am nothing. I must run its roads true. I must run faster than the stress of the world that is working to drag me down. I must...

How long do you have to study??

I took a 3-month GRE course offered through a program in undergrad. It was pretty intense. Otherwise, I would say study, study, study that vocab....none of which will actually be on the test. Sad, but true. The key is not to memorize a ton of words; it's to learn how to recognize roots and prefixes/suffixes, and...
